There are different types of psychotherapies (talking therapies) and the school that I have trained in is psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapy helps you understand and resolve problems by getting to know your inner world of emotions, thoughts, feelings, defences (based on experiences) and how these influence you, your actions and your relationships in the past and the present. This means that I look all aspects of you to understand how these contribute to make you the person you are today. I am registered with the BPS as a psychologist specializing in psychotherapy. I also offer Cognitive Analytic Therapist (CAT).
